Starring the strongest man in the world.
This is my first journey through the “100 Days of Anime” Challenge, an ambitious project that I’ll be taking. For the full list of prompts, click here.
“Most Epic Scene?”
When I think about “epic” scenes, I think about the action genre. The fantastical strength of All Might duking it out with villains, the flashy sword fighting of Touken Ranbu, or the gritty, stylish moves of Spike Spiegel. Every one of those characters have a different style that defines them, and seeing that in action is impressive – awe-inspiring, the very definition of epic.
And Adlet shows us just that within the first five minutes of the show.
Where Spike has his trademark cool, calm and confident demeanor, Adlet mimics that same aura in a more boisterous way. His bold proclamations of being the strongest man in the world are immediately backed up with beautiful acrobatics and a roguish fighting style, relying on his bag of tricks and tools over brute strength.
And man, does he look stylish doing it.
Augmented by the beautiful mayan-inspired background, Adlet does an amazing job at showing off his skills to the world. Though modesty may not be his strongest suit, his less-than-honorable fighting style captured my attention; eager to see how Adlet handles other foes as the show goes on. All of this, augmented by a lively soundtrack and breathtaking animations, makes this one of my favorite action scenes of all time.
For that one guy that doesn’t understand opinions. This is me dodging the hate.
