Cosplay? I dunno…
This is my first journey through the “100 Days of Anime” Challenge, an ambitious project that I’ll be taking. For the full list of prompts, click here.
“Anime character you would like to cosplay as?”
Cosplay, huh? Never really thought about it so it may be a bit boring, but I’ve always wanted an excuse to dress ‘fantasy’. If I were to go with something simple, it’d probably be Haruhiro or Manato from Grimgar. Or maybe even Kino, because I love her aesthetics (quickly becoming my favorite character of the season). With Cannon and Woodsman by my side, I’d probably feel just as badass.
Though it may be hard for me to pull off the androgynous shota/loli act.
With an unlimited amount of resources and talent, I’d probably want to try Adlet from Rokka no Yusha. Maybe get someone to turn my hair into a braided, sun-touched (and rather stylish) mane. Though I’ve never really cosplayed before, I more or less, fit Adlet’s carefree personality so it’d be fun to act as a fantasy character for once. Wouldn’t mind carrying around a big metal box around. After all, where else would I hold all my Halloween candy?!
A bit of a convoluted post, but it was fun to think about it. I had a hard time deciding on whether I should be realistic about my cosplay abilities or over the top (so I chose both). I would love to cosplay as Adlet in his flashy gear and colorful cloak. A cool post for upcoming Halloween, where I can head out and be someone else!
I’d love to cosplay an officer in the Cosmo Navy (Space Battleship Yamato). I’ve worn the uniform for real (I’m a Navy Submarine Service vet) and I know I could rock it. But one of the main reasons I go to cons is for photography (one of my main hobbies), and that’s incompatible with cosplaying.

Oh really? I’ve never been to a con, so I’ve little experience with it all, but photography sounds just as fun! If I went to a con, that’s most likely what I’d do (besides emptying my wallet of course).
Battleship Yamato? Good choice!

I think cosplay is cool but not something I’d likely do personally.

Same, though it does seem like fun. Both for the spectators, and for the cosplayers.
Don’t dress up for Halloween?

No, not really. I do if I volunteer at any of the local haunted houses but I haven’t done those for a couple years now since I was in school.
